Grand Hôtel du Lac

We were pleasantly surprised by our weekend at the Grand Hotel. Although we are familiar with Vevey and some of its hotels, this was our first time staying at this property—and it exceeded our expectations. We booked a Deluxe Room with a lake view, which was absolutely lovely. The room featured a huge, comfortable bed, a spacious bathroom that appeared recently renovated with all the modern amenities, and two balconies (each with a table and chairs) overlooking the stunning lake. The views were simply incredible. At night, the room was exceptionally quiet, and the windows were truly noise-proof, ensuring a restful sleep. Breakfast was not included in our rate, but we chose to enjoy it both mornings on the beautiful terrace. The buffet offered everything one could wish for, all beautifully presented. The staff truly exemplify the best of Swiss hospitality. We also had lunch on the terrace and were very impressed by every dish—classic favorites, but executed to perfection. The hotel’s garden is beautiful, and during our summer stay, the pool was never crowded. There were always comfortable sunbeds and umbrellas available, and access to the lake was just a two-minute walk away. We will certainly be returning!

Endroit parfait avec un personnelles très accueillant. Excellent séjour. Le restaurant la véranda était très bon. Et la personne en charge des soins du spa est exceptionnelle un vrais moment de détente qui soulage les douleurs. Le seul petit point était le lit car s'était deux lit simple rassembler pour faire un grand lit ce qui n'est pas très confortable mais le reste de la literie et parfait et tout était parfait

Beautiful hotel in a great spot on the lake. Splurge for a lake view room if you can…..it is so lovely. The common areas are curated and both gorgeous and comfortable. The floral arrangement rivals any we have seen. The staff is very professional and helpful. The pool was perfect for relaxing in the afternoon on a hot day. The breakfast was included in our room charge and was very good. We have been traveling for three weeks and the coffee was made to order and the best we have had on this trip. The breads were all top tier including the brioche, croissant and the hearty rolls. You are right on the lake and can walk to anything you might want to do including restaurants, cafes, shops, the "beach", boat tours and public transportation with easy access to Montreaux.

My experience was definitely not the same as some of the negative reviews. We did have an upgraded room with a lake view. The room was beautiful and luxurious. The bathroom was very large with a big tub. Large plush towels (always an A+) and wonderful smelling Aqua Di Parma products. Everything about this hotel is 5 star in my opinion. It is a beautiful place with fresh flowers and lovely decor. The staff was very attentive especially the door men.

There are not enough words to describe how lovely Hotel du Lac in Vevey is. It is located in a perfect location in one of the most beautiful towns. The hotel is luxurious and beautiful. Perfect place to take in the sites of Vevey. Can't wait to go back.

From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed.||The warm, personal reception and the beautiful aesthetics of the hotel made us feel instantly at home. Our three-night stay in a room with a balcony overlooking Lake Geneva and the Alps was nothing short of restorative and relaxing. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, and we especially appreciated the luxurious Acqua di Parma products in the bathroom. Turndown service—so often forgotten at other hotels—was a delightful nightly ritual here.||The hotel's location is ideal: perfect for long, leisurely strolls along the shoreline and just steps from museums and excellent restaurants. Each morning began with breakfast, creating a lovely start for the day. Evening drinks on the patio, with a soundtrack by the talented piano player, set a serene mood—followed by a nightcap on our balcony, the perfect close to each day.||While every interaction was positive and professional, several team members made our stay truly memorable. Guizlane from Housekeeping cared for us with such kindness that even without a shared language, her warm greetings never failed to brighten our day. Cedric in the restaurant provided attentive service and engaging local insights. Julian at guest services was an exceptional guide—his restaurant recommendations were perfect and he effortlessly managed all our reservations and transportation.||This was our first visit to Vevey, and thanks to the exceptional experience at Grand Hotel du Lac, it certainly won’t be our last. Heartfelt thanks to the entire team for a truly unforgettable stay.

Nous avons dîné au Buddha bar du Grand Hôtel du Lac. La cuisine créative d’inspiration orientale fut une belle surprise. Le dîner fut délicieux de l’apéritif au dessert. L’ambiance dans le jardin est magique ! Le service est attentionné et professionnel. Le maître d’hôtel nous a bien conseillé dans le vaste choix de plats. Cet endroit est une pépite au bord du Léman.
