Baracca Zermatt

I had the pleasure of dining at Baraccat Zermatt Restaurant in Koltan, Zurich, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The moment I walked in, I was welcomed with warm hospitality and professional service that immediately set the tone for the evening. The staff were not only attentive but also very knowledgeable about the menu, making sure we felt comfortable and well taken care of throughout the entire meal. The ambiance of the restaurant was simply magical. The romantic atmosphere created by the soft candlelight added a charming and intimate touch to the evening. It’s the kind of place that’s perfect for a date night or a quiet celebration with someone special. As for the food, I ordered the classic fondue, and it was absolutely superb. The cheese was rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced — easily one of the best fondues I’ve had. I also tried the salmon Tatar, which was equally delightful. Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, it complemented the fondue perfectly without being too heavy. Overall, I was thoroughly impressed by both the quality of the food and the excellent service. I would highly recommend Baraccat Zermatt to anyone visiting Zurich — it’s truly a gem worth experiencing. Highly recommended for a cozy and memorable night out! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Baracca Zermatt is a little gem! Found this restaurant while looking for the perfect Cheese Fondue and it didn’t disappoint! Tucked away behind a tree line, you get that feeling of escaping into the mountains. The ambience and decor is perfectly matched with a beautiful fire place right in the middle of the restaurant. The staff were extremely friendly, perfect English, with all the recommendations and wine pairings that you could want. The Cheese Fondue was the best I’ve had in Switzerland so far (and I’ve tried many)… Their attention to detail is what makes this place. From a welcome glass of soup to a Toblerone bar with your bill. It all works! Add this to your list… It’s a must!

Quaint restaurant that feels homely. Cheese fondue was the right portion and well priced. Service was lovely and attentive.

Bell'ambiente, il cibo gustoso ma anche se era dichiarato nel menù mi piacerebbe sapere perché una caraffa d'acqua a di rubinetto... Costa 9 Chf ( piu di 9 €)... Quindi da comuni mortali abbiamo bevuto in 5 persone 2 litri d'acqua di rubinetto per il costo di 18 Chf.....se non avessi i visto e pagato non avrei mai creduto. Questo è il motivo di 2 stelle....

Posto molto bello esteticamente e fonduta davvero deliziosa. Il locale rimane molto caldo a livello di temperatura, d’inverno sicuramente si resta in maniera confortevole.

Great place for fondue and other Swiss dishes. We had a great experience interacting with the staff. They have a nice outdoor space that gives you a break from the city. If you are in and around the airport area for just one night, make sure to eat here.
