Just arrived back from an amazing 3 day stay in Montreux. We stayed at Villa Toscane and I can honestly say it was a wonderful experience. We had a beautiful family room, which was very spacious and clean. The room had a double bed and pull out double sofa bed, both were very comfortable; we all had a very good nights sleep. Although we had to book in at the Royal Plaza opposite, this was not a problem. Staff were very attentive and curteously explained things to do in the area and transport information; nothing was too much trouble. |We didn't book breakfast at the hotel, as we chose to purchase pastries, fruit etc from the local Migros to sit and eat alongside the beautiful lake and watch the world go by. This was such an amazing trip to Montreux and the experience at Villa Toscane added to the wondeful memories made |Thank you to all the staff for making our stay a very enjoyable one

We came to Montreux to see a few days of the Jazz Festival with our family of 5 (kids 18, 15, 9). I read lots of not great reviews before we came, but they had a room that could comfortably fit our fam, unlike most hotels we were at on the trip so we took a chance (and were rewarded). ||Before we arrived they sent the Montreux Riviera Card sign up so we had access to all public transport on arrival. Check-in across the street at the Royal Plaza was easy. Staff were fantastic, super helpful and pointed out all of the options and amenities. ||Breakfast - we didn’t do the light breakfast that is fully included on any of the 3 mornings, but instead paid the 10CHF per person to have the very good full breakfast. ||Pool - encountered 2 other people each time we went. Kids enjoyed. ||Room - it was hot out, but the room stayed reasonably cool. A bit worn, but not the end of the world. It is a nice old building. We heard noise from the festival, which we expected. If we didn’t want noise we could have stayed far away from this area. ||Overall, there was almost zero alignment with the complaints in other reviews. We’d come back, if we ever can afford it again (Switzerland is expensive. We knew it would be. We loved it).

Not only did the hotel locate it promptly, but they also shipped it back to me internationally, completely free of charge. Their team stayed in touch via email, responding with impressive speed and clarity throughout the process. This level of honesty, care, and generosity is incredibly rare and speaks volumes about their values. Whether you're visiting for business or leisure, Hotel Toscane provides an unforgettable stay. I can’t wait to return!

Einchecken im Hotel Royal Plaza über die Straße. Die Villa Toscane ist ein einfaches Hotel. Schon ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen. Leider direkt an der Durchfahrtstrasse von Montreux. Unsere Zimmer waren leider zur Strasse. Abendessen im Cafe Bellagio war sehr lecker. Das Frühstück war im Royal Plaza, jedoch hat uns keiner darauf hingewiesen dass der eigentliche Frühstücksraum im UG ist. Im EG gibt es nur das nötigste (kein frisches Obst etc). Keine Aussicht von unserem Zimmer auf den See.

Our family of 4 stayed at the Villa Toscane over the Pentecost long weekend and it absolutely exceeded my expectations. We stayed in the family apartment, which was utterly charming with very comfortable beds and a good amount of space. The American breakfast was exceptional (it's rare to get perfect eggs and bacon!), and service both friendly and helpful at every step. We didn't find it inconvenient crossing the street for the spa, restaurant etc; it felt like a treat having access to 5-star services at a 3-star price. The cherry on top was the hotel's amazing response when we found we had left our raincoats in the closet at departure; they were all posted back to us super speedily with a kind note, at no charge. Very much appreciated.

Owned by the Plaza Hotel across the road (where you have to check in) I thought this was a nice hotel. Metres walk to the Lake and a short stroll to shops bars and restaurants. Traditionally furnished inside with aircon in rooms (a god send on our heat wave stay) with everything you'd need in the room. Breakfast is served back over the road in the Plaza Hotel which gives you gorgeous views over the lake and mountains whilst munching on your croissant!
