LUX Restaurant & Bar

I had the LUX Restaurant on my list for a while and finally went with my whole family and wow, it exceeded all expectations! Everyone felt so comfortable and well taken care of. The food was absolutely amazing, every dish was perfectly balanced, beautifully presented and full of flavor – truly nothing to complain about. What really stood out to me was the exceptional service. Our waiter was such a pleasant young guy, attentive, thoughtful and with a great eye for detail. He struck the perfect balance: never pushy but always there right when we needed something. The interior is beautifully designed and the view over Lake Zurich is simply stunning! The perfect setting for a special evening. It was also wonderfully quiet, which made it easy to enjoy relaxed conversations without noise or stress. Thank you to the LUX staff for making this evening so memorable – we will definitely be back!

The restaurant has a lovely location with a beautiful view and a welcoming staff, which initially made a great impression. However, the food was quite average. The tartare was overwhelmed by a very strong sauce, completely masking the actual flavor of the meat. The salad also had an excessive amount of dressing, making it heavy and unbalanced. What truly shocked us was being charged for water we didn’t order. We were told it was mandatory to pay for one bottle per person, even though we only requested one — and it wasn’t even bottled water, just tap. This felt dishonest and disrespectful, something I’ve never encountered in luxury restaurants. While the view and staff were nice, the combination of mediocre food and a disappointing, almost absurd approach to billing makes it a place we won’t be returning to — and certainly won’t recommend. It’s not about the money, but about principle. Once is more than enough.

Update Sommer 2025: Schöne Aussenterrasse (jedoch mit Verkehrslärm), feines Essen. Leider wurde von unserem Kellner (gemäss seiner Aussage war er überarbeitet) dauernd etwas vergessen, so z.B. die sehr wichtige Garstufe unseres Rindsfilets. Das Ambiente ist schön schick, angenehme Beleuchtung. Der Service war freundlich, hätte aber etwas aufmerksamer sein können (Wein mussten wir uns meistens selbst nachschenken). Die Preise sind wie erwartet höher, das Essen war fein.

Great brunch experience, but miss the Prosecco! I didn’t know there was a restaurant inside the congress center, and I really liked the idea of their weekend brunch. The buffet is huge — there are even oysters! Plus, you get two hot dishes included, though I honestly had no room left to try them. Everything was fresh and well presented. The only downside: Prosecco is no longer included in the CHF 79 price, which was a bit disappointing. At that price, I’d expect at least one glass to be part of the experience. Still, a lovely place for a special brunch — just come hungry!

The restaurant is located near the Zurich lake, it looks great and has a lot of space and tables. The restaurant is atmospheric and sometimes they have a live music. All dishes I’ve tried were delicious, it’s pricey.

1st time dinning for Brunch - and we really enjoyed our time ...Our server Yasmine was very pleasant, patient, and accommodating. It was a great moment to have family time together, especially my mother visiting from California. It was a great treat, and the food and service met our expectation. Love the elegant presentation in both atmosphere and food. Overall, great, kind staff and restaurant experience.
