I had already been there a week before and, seeing the two restaurants, one in front of the other, I opted for Amalfi this time. Impeccable service and excellent cuisine, although the sauce for the spaghetti with clams was not creamy, it was liquid. I arrived after 12:30 and for the table, there was no choice... the worst.
Ein sehr schönes Erlebnis! Ich habe die kalte Melonen-Suppe mit Prosecco als Vorspeise gewählt - eine überraschend raffinierte und erfrischende Kombination. Als Hauptgang die Seezunge mit Zitronenrisotto: perfekt zubereitet, geschmacklich ein Traum. Ich saß auf der Terrasse und trotz starkem Regen war der Bereich gut geschützt und sehr angenehm. Eine schöne, entspannte Atmosphäre, selbst bei schlechtem Wetter. Das Personal war freundlich und aufmerksam. Zwar wird überwiegend Italienisch gesprochen, was kurz etwas zur Verlegenheit führte aber auf unsere Bitte hin wurde problemlos auf Deutsch gewechselt. Zum Abschluss ein kräftiger Espresso mit einem kleinen, feinen Kuchen: ein schöner, runder Abschluss eines herrlichen Mittags. Alles war sehr gut bekömmlich. Ich komme auf jeden Fall gern wieder.
My favorite now in Zurich. Visited twice in 3 days, could make yesterday as were late to make a reservation. Very polite service, very quick at serving, very delicious cuisine. Just top.
Came for dinner with a friend at Amalfi, we sat outside in the sunshine and it was fantastic. We were served by Francesco, who recommended a great veggie starter and some great wine to pair it with. He made us laugh, and has such a bubbly personality - overall a lovely experience with him and at Amalfi thanks again.
Friendly staff, we especially appreciate that they even provided a simple pasta dish not on the regular menu for our toddler. The food was tasty and nicely presented. My wife and I felt that the portions could have been a bit bigger.
Siamo venuti in questo ristorante per la prima volta domenica scorsa a pranzo e siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti! Finalmente un posto grazioso in Zurigo dove abbiamo potuto gustare ottimi piatti a base di pesce e un'ottima parmigiana di melanzane in un atmosfera tutta tipica italiana: ci sembrava di essere davvero a casa! La vita è bella!
