Hotel Château Gütsch

We stayed for one night. Firstly an amazing location with an amazing view. Also the food and drinks were amazing. The bar and breakfast service was amazing. However these positives are somewhat bought down by the at times average front desk service. The staff were quite young and seemed at times disinterested. Specifically help with baggage which is a bit of an issue at this hotel (many steps). Also, we were surprised to not be offered the use of the hotel van (even for a fee). It is a nice van for someone? (photo below) Our room also was a bit small. Although we appreciate it is an old historic building, for the fee we were paying we expected a little better. The deal breaker was the TV not working (we like to catch up on news whilst away). The front desk seemed surprisingly uninterested or apologetic in the fact it wasn't working. Again lovely views, beautiful old building but wouldn't recommend based on front desk service and quality of rooms mainly.

The Chateau was magical. You take a one minute funicular ride up the hill and enter a fairy tale. The rooms have beautiful views of Lake Lucerne and the city below. Each room is meticulously designed in a classical style. There is a large terrace for relaxing and views of the city. The restaurant and service were great. |Once to ride down the funicular into town you are right in walking distance of everything including the train station, restaurants, museums, the covered bridges. This hotel was one of the best stays ever.

Echt een geweldige ervaring om in dit hotel bij Luzern te mogen verblijven. Personeel super correct en behulpzaam. Ontbijt en diner ️ % correct geregeld! Echt een kwaliteit hotel van de bovenste plank! De stad Luzern is ook geweldig en zeker de moeite waard om te bezoeken.

This is a beautiful and phenomenal hotel, and I highly recommend it! The rooms are spacious and decorated in a charming, classic style, with very comfortable bedding. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and made our stay even more enjoyable. The views are absolutely unbeatable. The funicular provides easy access to town, and it's just a 10-minute walk to the Old Town. The bar area is lovely, it is on the pricier side, but well worth it for the atmosphere. A wonderful stay overall!

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon. The hotel has exceptional views with an excellent service staff. Getting to the hotel is very easy as you can take the bus to the funicular. The American bar had very good selection of drinks, we had the gin cocktails as well as the creme brulee. Upon getting our room, we were given a complimentary bottle of red wine as well as a fully stocked minibar. We will definitely visit again!

Absolutely stunning. The place is fantastic. It is expensive but I could load my electric vehicle for free. The food was delicious. We had risotto and branzino and chocolate cream for dessert. The hotel rooms are spacious and telling their own story. Except for some small things like hair in the shower and breakouts on the toilet everything was super! And we really enjoyed the stay - especially the view and the location itself. Special effect: the elevator to the city center of Lucerne.
