Grand Hotel National Luzern

This hotel is nicely located and pretty inside. However, it is not 5 star for many reasons:||1. Bar|We ordered Bellinis at the bar. Terrible. I asked if they were made with peaches and the answer was "we don’t have peaches and our bar manager won’t let us have a blender". What you get is a thin, not fresh drink that’s not worth the price. ||2. Room|Room was nice (312) but did not have a shower! It has an old tub with half glass door. This is not 5 star people. Time to renovate you think?||3. Concierge|Asked to do the boat trip with team to Pilatus. They got us the tickets but failed to let us know we had to call ahead to reserve a time on the tram ride up the mountain. Result? Got there and had to wait another 90 minutes. Then they didn’t inform it was a bus ride home, not a return boat ride. Not a good communication process. ||4. Pool|Indoor, cold, 3 feet deep. Need to say more?||I think this place needs a renovation, staff training, a heated pool, a beverage manager that can use fresh fruit in their drinks like other 5 star hotels.

From the moment we entered the hotel to the time of checkout we were met with great hospitality, friendliness and excellent service. The front desk staff was extremely helpful throughout our stay. We had booked a deluxe room with a lake view and were upgraded to one of only 4 junior suites with a rooftop lounging area and amazing views of the lake. What a treat! The location was perfect to tour the city, as well as easy access to the train station and docks.

Beautiful hotel with superb service and location. Only flaw was that there was visible mold in the bathroom. Shout out to Mary at the front desk, who greeted us with class and enthusiasm. She helped us plan adventures (Stoos ridge hike) and even secured us a reservation at an amazing restaurant (Restaurant Scala).

Exquisite hotel on the shores of Lake Lucerne. Views of the city and surrounding mountainsides are exceptional. Service was excellent. The room was spacious and beautifully appointed. Onsite dining options were all wonderful. All around an unforgettable stay.

This hotel surpassed all of our expectations. The room we had was palatial with a magnificent view of Lake Luzern. The staff were extremely helpful… they posted something I left behind… I am very grateful. The Hotel brasserie has a wonderful menu selection and excellent service. The gym across the road was excellent. Nothing negative to say. 10 or of 10. This is a stay we will cherish for the rest of our lives.

Ich habe meinem Mann einen Gutschein geschenkt für einen gemeinsame auszeit!|Ich hatte mich zuerst vorinformiert und es hiess, es sei eine Wellness anlage mit warmen Wasser!|Beim ankommen, war es eine kalte begrüssung, es wurde nicht gezeigt nur nach müntlicher Anweissung! Keine Apero anfrage zuvor!...|Wellness bereich war alles andere als entspannung!|Es hatte durchzug, die Räume kalt! Das Wasser eiskalt!.... sauna war zu heiss eingestellt +100°|Das einzige tolle war die Massage! Aber ansonsten, war nichts mit Wellness!!|Waren sehr enttäuscht!|Es kam mir vor wie in einem schwimmbad mit Massage angebot! Ohne betreuung und wärme! Leider niemehr! Wellness kenne ich ganz anders!|Auch zuletzt beim Restaurant draussen, mussten wir lange auf denn Service warten und nach der bestellung 17minuten auf das Apero Getränk! Wir bekamen nicht mal ein Essen draussen, wo schön gestuhl war! es hiess wir müssen drinnen essen!|Es war am: 3.Mai.25 das wetter war gut und die Schirme offen.

Beautiful hotel that is well located on the water and not far from the train station. Quiet and comfortable room with blackout curtains. Delicious and healthy breakfast that included fresh fruit, nuts and seeds, chia cups, whole grains, freshly baked breads, cheeses, fish, cold cuts, and an extensive a la carte menu from which we chose oatmeal. The staff was lovely - friendly, helpful and accommodating.
