Widder Hotel

I couldn’t complete my full stay, but I had to leave this comment because everything was absolutely wonderful. The hotel has such a peaceful atmosphere, the service is excellent, and the staff are incredibly kind and professional. Even in a short time, I felt completely comfortable and welcomed. Truly a place I would recommend to anyone.

The Widder is the quintessential boutique hotel experience in Zurich. We were upgraded to the stunning designer duplex suite, complete with an incredible terrace overlooking the Old Town — such a memorable touch. The location is unbeatable, with everything just steps away, and the hotel’s picturesque courtyard makes it feel like an oasis in the city. The concierge and entire staff were flawless from start to finish — genuinely some of the best service we’ve experienced anywhere. The only downside was that the famous Widder Bar was closed during our stay, but that just gives us another reason to return. We can’t imagine a better stay in Zurich — truly outstanding in every way.

We have travelled widely, and our stay at the Widder Hotel truly stands in a class of its own.||From the moment we arrived, the greeting felt exceptionally warm and sincere. Our room was absolutely wonderful - immaculately clean, impeccably designed, and full of thoughtful touches that made the stay so special. Not only was it meticulously comfortable, but the little surprises throughout the space made us smile and made us wish we had more time to enjoy them all.||The Widder Garden was a genuine highlight: a peaceful, leafy courtyard tucked in the heart of the Old Town. Perfect for a leisurely coffee or a quiet moment with a glass of wine.||Breakfast, served on-site, was elevated and fresh, beautifully presented and perfectly set the tone for the day.||The location couldn't have been better. The hotel is nestled right off Bahnhofstrasse in Zürich’s historic centre, making wandering into charming lanes, galleries, and lakeside promenades effortless.||In short, the Widder Hotel delivers a flawless blend of personal service, luxurious refinement, and architectural marvel (that lift/staircase area - wow!), set in a thoroughly charming and convenient location. With so many layers of pleasure and discovery packed into our stay, we really do wish we had stayed longer. Flawless.

We (2 adults, 2 teens) stayed in a 3 bedroom Residence at the Widder Hotel for 5 nights. Everything about our stay was exemplary. The service is understated yet impeccable - nothing is too much trouble for the staff, who will go out of their way to help you. The food at breakfast was delicious and beautifully prepared. The location -in the historic, but relatively peaceful, Rennweg - was perfect and within walking distance of almost everything we planned to visit. Our Residence itself was lovely: the restoration and modernisation of such an old building has been impeccably and tastefully done and the spacious terrace to the rear was wonderful to sit on (there were areas of sun and shade) to take a break from sight-seeing or simply to take a quiet moment to relax. All in all, we had a superb stay at the Widder Hotel. Very highly recommended.

I have stayed at The Widder in both their luxury apartments as well as their hotel too many times to count at this point over the past four years. It is and has always been a Five Star experience. Their location in Renweg is unmatched, their staff is kind, professional, knowledgable and dependable. Their apartments as well as hotel rooms are always immaculately clean and well appointed. I cannot say enough nice things about this hotel and their staff. I used to stay at The Dolder Grand and while that is a gorgeous property as well, it is FAR removed from the activities of the city and you need a car or Uber to go anywhere. So if you want to be in the heart of the city as well as have a Five Star Experience with walkability to all the great shopping, restaurants and river/ Lake Zürich, The Widder is your place!

This hotel was unique and very welcoming. While the building is historic, the interior feels modern and creatively designed. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. When we arrived I noted that the staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to make our stay memorable. We also visited two of the hotel’s bars, which were lively places with live music and a huge menu of cocktails and bourbons. Would 100% come back to Zurich again would look forward to staying here!

We had lunch in the garden of the hotel which is a beautiful setting and the food was absolutely delicious. It was a very hot day (30 degree’s) and at one point two people of our group were sitting completely in the sun, including their heads. We asked for some shade, the answer was simply that they didn’t have sufficient umbrellas and left it like that. Only after another table left they would move the umbrella to our table. That spoiled the experience.
